Do you always have your headphones or earbuds with you and music streaming? You’re not alone. Streaming music is popular with just about everyone! And there are lots of choices out there when it comes to where you’re going to get your music from.

Here are a few of the most popular streaming services and what they offer.

  • Amazon Music : Amazon has several different ways to stream music, and each is a little different. Here is how Amazon describes each of them:
      • Amazon Music Free: Amazon Music Free provides free access to top playlists and thousands of stations and includes ads.
      • Amazon Music Prime: Amazon Music Prime is included with your Amazon Prime membership.
      • Amazon Music Unlimited: With Amazon Music Unlimited, you get all of the great features and functionality of Amazon Music Prime and a lot more.
      • Amazon Music HD: Amazon Music HD is a premium quality music subscription with 70 million songs in HD and millions of songs in UHD. A growing catalog of songs mastered in Dolby Atmos and Sony’s 360 Reality Audio codecs are available in 3D audio on the Amazon Echo Studio.
    • Amazon has put together a chart that allows you to easily compare each of their four offerings so you can choose which one is right for you.
  • Apple Music: Apple says: Apple Music is a streaming service that allows you to listen to over 70 million songs. Its great features include the ability to download your favorite tracks and play them offline, lyrics in real time, listening across all your favorite devices, new music personalized just for you, curated playlists from our editors, and many more. All this in addition to exclusive and original content. Apple Music has zero ads.
  • Idagio: Classical music fans most likely have this app already, but if you don’t – download it right away.
    • Idagio says: Audio streaming is becoming the predominant way of listening to music. But the well-known all-genre services are pop-driven, and their structure only allows for three search categories: song, artist, and album. Classical music is available on these major streaming services, but the criteria that make classical music so special – composer, work, conductor, orchestra, soloist, and more – are missing from the structure. For this reason, classical music lovers who use these services struggle with a lack of user-friendliness and search options as well as confusing and sometimes incorrect search results. Musicians and their recordings can thus only be found with difficulty or not at all, drastically reducing visibility for classical musicians on these platforms.
